Tesselations

PART A: Practice your understanding of mathematical transformations.  Remember: translate = slide, reflect = flip, rotate = turn.  See how many levels you can complete.  They get pretty tricky!

PART B: Watch this video to see how one very famous artist uses Math to create amazing art!  He is the master of tesselations!

PART C: Take a 5 minute brain break and play this old school game that helps you practice Math transformations!

PART D: Now, it's time for you to try creating your own tesselations!  Use this site to create your tesselation.

PART E: If you have already finished creating a number of tesselations using the website, you may want to challenge yourself and use Microsoft Paint (a program on your computer) to create a tesselation.  You can view instructions here.

FOR MATH TODAY (June 12)- Play Part A and you can also try this interactive or this one or this one!
